Recently we visited Tutbury Castle to experience your most recent Silver Fletchings event.  We had a fantastic day and have recommended it to our friends and co-workers.

Today we visited another castle in the Midlands and lamented the lack of any authenticity and on observing the homogenized entertainment, appreciated even more the beauty and the history present at Tutbury.

In short, we found Tutbury to be charming, engaging and full of history and happily spent the day in the Castle feeling the echo of the past in the walls and picturing what the buildings must have seen in the centuries it has stood in that place.

Thanks for providing such an interesting and accessible experience. At Tutbury you are delivering exactly what we want form a historic site and look forward to our next visit.

Bank Holiday Visit [May 2007]

I just wanted to say thank you for a really good day on the 28th of May the weather was not its best but the medieval re-enactment was brilliant. It was my daughters 9th birthday and we all enjoyed it immensely.

Dear Tutbury Castle. I visited Tutbury Castle as a school trip in May 07. It was probably the best school trip I’ve been on, it was great. My class and I loved the part when we were told all about the armoury, food and entertainment. We also enjoyed learning about the ghosts!!!! The history around Tutbury is amazing. I was so impressed with Tutbury, I’m going again with my family. P.S We all loved your costumes.

Visit to Castle [April 2007]

My friend and I visited the castle today and we wanted to let you know what a lovely and informative time we had. Mary Queen of Scots was a complete star and both of us fervently wished we'd had a history teacher such as her at school. She really brought the history of the castle and Mary alive. Keep up the good work.

Supper and Overnight Stay [October 2006]

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our visit…the food was excellent, the Castle definitely spooky but in a nice way! And special thanks to the staff who made sure we were well looked after during the night. An enjoyable and interesting night - I’ll look forward to arranging another visit in the near future. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the venue.

I’m just writing to say thank you for our visit. The Children are still full of it, (as are us staff!) We really did have a great time…the children have never experienced anything remotely like their day at Tutbury. I felt that you really went out of your way to make them feel special – and it worked, that was obvious from their faces. You have given them a really precious experience that I doubt they will ever forget. Thank you.
