Tutbury is one of the most haunted castles in the UK , and as such has featured on Living TV's 'Most Haunted' and 'World's Biggest Ghost Hunt'. The infamous 'King's Bedroom' is often closed to the public due to the wealth of paranormal phenomena that occurs within.

As well as public events throughout the year which can be found on the homepage of our website www.eerie-evenings.com We provide private bookings for groups of 25 people or more at the castle. The types of events available for these groups are outlined below:

Overnight Ghost Hunts

Start the night at 11:00 pm with a ghost walk around the castle and its grounds followed by a presentation from a historian. The rest of the night is up to you, set up your own vigils or grab your sleeping bags and camp out in the Great Hall or the King’s Bedroom! Continental breakfast is served in the morning before departure at 7:00 am.

Overnight Ghost Hunts and Supper

Exactly the same as the overnight ghost hunt, but start the night at 8:00 pm with a two course buffet supper to set you up for the night ahead!

'Eerie Evenings'

The full works! Start the night at 8:00 pm with a two course hot supper, followed by readings and demonstrations from our psychic mediums. Enjoy a ghost walk and history presentation followed by guided vigils with real ghost-hunting equipment until 4:00 am. Continental breakfast is served before departure.

Haunted Happenings are delighted to offer you several types of ghost hunt events throughout the year.  With the site of  The Castle dating back to the Stone Age and its bloodier past, there is a wealth of paranormal activity to investigate.

We will be holding public events throughout the year which can be found on our website.  In addition to this we can arrange and host private events for you.  We can cater for numbers ranging from 20 – 38 guests.

Our ghost hunt events begin with a guided tour of the Castle and grounds accompanied by a local historian.  You will be able to relive some of the Castle’s history before lights out.  Our Medium will then take you through the spirits and activity at the Castle and describe what lies in wait for us. 

The ghost hunt will involve vigils and séances in the most active areas of the Castle.  This could be the torture chamber, the King’s bedroom, the Great Hall or the living quarters of Mary Queen of Scotts.  You will have the opportunity to carry out vigils alone or in a group using our up-to-date ghost hunting equipment.  You will also be accompanied by our Paranormal Investigation Team to ensure that you have a truly enjoyable and memorable ghost hunt experience. 

There are many options available for our ghost hunt events.  As well as refreshments throughout the night you can enjoy a 2-course supper with a continental breakfast included.  Another option would be to choose a  ghost hunt that just includes your refreshments.  We will also be holding mini ghost hunt events that finish at 2am or we can go through into the early hours of 5am.   Further details of our events will be available shortly – please keep an eye on the website.
