Sex and the Tudors Talk with Cream tea

Sex and the Tudors Talk with Cream tea

Tuesday 16th May 2017

2pm Arrival

£12.50 per guest

Come and join Tutbury Castle this May for an entertaining afternoon!

This lecture given by castle curator Lesley Smith is a rip-roaring tumble through the sexual exploits of the Tudors. Not just Henry VIII had a good time, so did a lot of other people according to records.

Contraception, conception, prostitution and gay sex feature in this engaging and highly entertaining lecture.

Not suitable for those who shock easily or have a nervous disposition!

This is followed by one of our home made fruit scones, served with strawberry jam and fresh Cornish clotted cream and a pot of tea in our pretty tea room.

This event must be booked in advance and tickets are non-refundable.

We ask that guests are ready to be seated at 2.30pm for the talk in our great hall followed by the cream tea in our pretty tearoom. The talk will take place in the Great Hall which there are steep steps.

Guest should not arrive before 2pm as they will not be able to access the castle grounds or building before this time.
